CANZA 2025 Impact Report

Turning two years of foundational work into a clear story about progress, momentum, and what’s next.

The challenge

In its first two years, CANZA focused on building the foundation required to support meaningful change across Canada’s agri-food system.

Research partnerships were established. New initiatives were launched. Stakeholders from across the value chain came together around a shared goal.

The work was significant.

The challenge was making that significance visible.

CANZA’s first Impact Report needed to do more than document activities and accomplishments. It needed to help readers understand how those individual efforts connected to a larger vision—and why they mattered.

Finding what matters

As we reviewed CANZA’s programs, partnerships, and accomplishments, a clear theme emerged.

The true story was about building the conditions for future impact.

While much of CANZA’s early work happened behind the scenes, each initiative contributed to a stronger foundation for farmer support, industry collaboration, scientific advancement, and long-term adoption of climate-smart agriculture.

That insight became the organizing principle for the report.

Giving it language

The report was designed to help readers connect individual activities to a broader narrative of progress and momentum.

Rather than presenting achievements as a series of disconnected updates, the content focused on the role each initiative played in advancing CANZA’s mission.

The messaging emphasized:

  • Farmer leadership
  • Cross-value-chain collaboration
  • Scientific rigor
  • Practical implementation
  • Long-term impact

The goal was to create a report that felt both credible and accessible—grounded in evidence while remaining engaging and easy to navigate.

Bringing it to life

Working closely with the CANZA team, the report brought together content from across the organization into a single, cohesive narrative.

The final publication combined storytelling, stakeholder perspectives, program highlights, and impact reporting to create a clear picture of CANZA’s first two years and the momentum being built for the future.

The outcome

CANZA’s first Impact Report provided a clear and compelling account of the organization’s progress while establishing a foundation for future reporting.

By focusing on what connected the work—not just what was accomplished—the report helped demonstrate how individual initiatives were contributing to a larger vision for Canadian agriculture
